Jasmin’s academic journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. With a commitment to lifelong learning, she has completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Practice, a Certificate in Tikanga Māori, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education and Social Services, and a Master of Social Work with Distinction. Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Massey University, further expanding her knowledge and skills.

Throughout her studies and beyond, Jasmin has made a profound impact within the youth and social services sector. Currently, she serves as a team leader and social service supervisor for Turuki Health Care, demonstrating her leadership abilities and dedication to helping others.

The financial support from the Yvonne A M Smith Scholarship will enable Jasmin to complete her Master of Business Administration through online studies while continuing her valuable work at Turuki Health Care. She believes that this additional qualification will equip her to lead her team to even greater success and contribute to the growth and development of fellow social workers. Jasmin’s commitment to building confidence, competence and capacity within her profession is truly inspiring.

When she finds moments of respite, Jasmin enjoys various hobbies that bring her joy and relaxation. Gardening, refurbishing wooden furniture, traveling, and indulging in Lego creations are among her favourite pastimes.
