Hailing from Invercargill, New Zealand, Julia began her engineering career after completing her Bachelor of Engineering with First Class Honours at University of Canterbury in 2017.  Julia’s experiences spans across technical engineering to leadership of large operational teams in high-risk environments.

Julia intends for the scholarship to be put towards completing a Masters of Business Administration (MBA), that will compliment her current skillset and allow her to advance her career in increasing sustainability practices into engineering projects.

When not at work, Julia can typically be found swimming, cycling, running or doing some kind of activity outdoors through her love for New Zealand and everything the environment offers.Julia aims to channel her leadership capabilities, and the skills she will develop from studying the MBA, to make a more meaningful contribution towards the protection of New Zealand’s environment.
